Behind losses for shares of McDonald’s and Walgreens Boots, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Thursday morning. Shares of McDonald’s MCD, -1.80% and Walgreens Boots WBA, -1.80% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.42% was most recently trading 110 points lower (-0.4%). McDonald’s’s shares are off $3.75 (1.7%) while those of Walgreens Boots have declined $0.70, or 1.7%, combining for an approximately 29-point drag on the Dow. Intel INTC, -1.98%, Visa V, -1.49%, and Merck MRK, -1.69% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
