Shares of Intel and McDonald’s are trading lower Thursday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Intel INTC, -3.11% and McDonald’s MCD, -2.70% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.05% was most recently trading 193 points lower (-0.7%). Intel’s shares have fallen $1.33 (2.9%) while those of McDonald’s are off $5.47, or 2.5%, combining for a roughly 45-point drag on the Dow. Merck MRK, -2.03%, Travelers TRV, -1.93%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, -1.85% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
