The Dow DJIA, +2.20% is trading 575 points (2.1%) higher, as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, +5.02% and Caterpillar CAT, +4.76% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Dow Inc.’s shares are up $2.22 (4.8%) while those of Caterpillar are up $6.34, or 4.1%, combining for an approximately 56-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include JPMorgan Chase JPM, +3.69%, Boeing BA, +3.34%, and Visa V, +2.93%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
