(AAPL) and Microsoft (MSFT) are contributing around a third of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow (DJIA) is trading 337 points, or 1.2%, higher. Apple Inc.’s shares are up $6.85, or 5.9%, while those of Microsoft have climbed $7.33 (3.4%), combining for an approximately 93-point boost for the Dow. Walgreens Boots (WBA) Goldman Sachs (GS) and Caterpillar (CAT) are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
