The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday afternoon with shares of Boeing and Apple Inc. delivering the stiffest headwinds for the price-weighted average. Shares of Boeing BA, -6.81% and Apple Inc. AAPL, -2.86% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.33% was most recently trading 277 points, or 1.0%, lower. Boeing’s shares are off $10.29, or 6.0%, while those of Apple Inc. are off $2.87, or 2.5%, combining for an approximately 87-point drag on the Dow. Microsoft MSFT, -2.12%, American Express AXP, -2.05%, and Home Depot HD, -1.99% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.58-point swing.
