Stocks fell early Friday after President Donald Trump announced that he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. The news comes just one month before the presidential election and adds uncertainty to what has already been a volatile election cycle.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 426 points or 1.5% while S&P 500 futures were off by 1.6%. Nasdaq Composite futures slid 2.3%. Oil also fell with the price of West Texas Intermediate crude and Brent crude were both off by 3.5%.
