Shares of Chevron and Travelers are posting losses Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Chevron CVX, -2.70% and Travelers TRV, -2.11% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.16% was most recently trading 43 points (0.2%) lower. Chevron’s shares are off $1.97 (2.7%) while those of Travelers have fallen $2.23, or 2.0%, combining for an approximately 28-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Dow Inc. DOW, -1.44%, Microsoft MSFT, -0.64%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, -0.87%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
