Buoyed by positive growth for shares of Boeing and Apple Inc., the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Friday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +1.01% is trading 214 points (0.8%) higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +5.91% and Apple Inc. AAPL, +3.18% are contributing around a quarter of the index’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares are up $6.05 (4.1%) while those of Apple Inc. are up $3.06, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 60-point boost for the Dow. UnitedHealth UNH, +2.64%, Microsoft MSFT, +2.19%, and Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, +1.99% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.58-point swing.
