The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading down Monday morning with shares of Visa and Merck seeing the biggest declines for the index. The Dow DJIA, +0.43% was most recently trading 86 points (0.3%) lower, as shares of Visa V, -1.28% and Merck MRK, -0.34% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Visa’s shares have declined $4.86, or 2.3%, while those of Merck have declined $1.46 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 42-point drag on the Dow. American Express AXP, -1.82%, Amgen Inc. AMGN, -0.87%, and Boeing BA, -1.22% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
