Shares of Visa and Microsoft are seeing strong returns Wednesday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Visa V, +8.11% and Microsoft MSFT, +5.50% are contributing about two thirds of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.34% is trading 286 points (0.9%) higher. Visa’s shares have gained $19.44 (9.7%) while those of Microsoft have gained $14.70 (5.4%), combining for an approximately 225-point bump for the Dow. Salesforce Inc. CRM, +1.71%, Nike NKE, +1.59%, and Home Depot HD, +0.43% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.59-point swing.
