Shares of Intel and Caterpillar are trading higher Wednesday morning, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Intel INTC, +4.25% and Caterpillar CAT, +1.26% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.19% was most recently trading 102 points, or 0.3%, higher. Intel’s shares are up $2.53 (4.8%) while those of Caterpillar have gained $4.85 (2.2%), combining for an approximately 49-point boost for the Dow. Walt Disney DIS, +1.46%, Boeing BA, +1.18%, and Walmart WMT, +2.42% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
