The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday morning with shares of Caterpillar and JPMorgan Chase leading the way for the price-weighted average. The Dow DJIA, +0.69% is trading 239 points, or 0.7%, higher, as shares of Caterpillar CAT, +4.34% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +3.86% have contributed about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Caterpillar’s shares have climbed $7.96, or 3.8%, while those of JPMorgan Chase have risen $5.86 (3.6%), combining for a roughly 91-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include American Express AXP, +2.95%, Goldman Sachs GS, +3.53%, and Travelers TRV, +2.43%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
