The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday morning with shares of Cisco and Microsoft delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +0.58% is trading 195 points, or 0.5%, higher, as shares of Cisco CSCO, +1.57% and Microsoft MSFT, +1.61% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Cisco’s shares have climbed $1.14, or 1.8%, while those of Microsoft have gained $5.62 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 45-point boost for the Dow. Inc. CRM, +1.08%, Dow Inc. DOW, +1.01%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.33% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
