Behind losses for shares of Verizon Communications Inc. and JPMorgan Chase, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning. Shares of Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, -1.74% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, -0.39% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.07% was most recently trading 91 points (0.3%) lower. Verizon Communications Inc.’s shares have declined $0.49 (0.9%) while those of JPMorgan Chase have dropped $1.38 (0.8%), combining for an approximately 12-point drag on the Dow. IBM IBM, -0.84%, Johnson & Johnson JNJ, -0.96%, and Goldman Sachs GS, +0.36% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
