The Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Wednesday morning with shares of Dow Inc. and Cisco facing the biggest declines for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -0.76% was most recently trading 238 points (0.7%) lower, as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -4.13% and Cisco CSCO, -2.80% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Dow Inc.’s shares are off $2.42, or 4.1%, while those of Cisco have declined $1.38 (2.5%), combining for an approximately 25-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include American Express AXP, -1.83%, Merck MRK, -1.49%, and Travelers TRV, -1.09%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
