The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Tuesday morning with shares of Chevron and Nike delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +1.23% was most recently trading 90 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Chevron CVX, +2.77% and Nike NKE, +2.26% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $2.22, or 2.1%, while those of Nike have climbed $2.12 (1.4%), combining for an approximately 29-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Goldman Sachs GS, +3.07%, UnitedHealth UNH, +1.66%, and Microsoft MSFT, +1.53%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
