Led by strong returns for shares of Inc. and JPMorgan Chase, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Thursday morning. Shares of Inc. CRM, +5.99% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +3.10% have contributed around one third of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.54% is trading 513 points, or 1.5%, higher. Inc.’s shares have gained $13.57 (5.2%) while those of JPMorgan Chase are up $4.57 (2.9%), combining for a roughly 119-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +2.97%, American Express AXP, +3.01%, and Merck MRK, +1.83%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
