Shares of American Express and Dow Inc. are trading lower Friday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of American Express AXP, -2.08% and Dow Inc. DOW, -1.18% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.22% was most recently trading 38 points lower (-0.1%). American Express’s shares are off $2.30, or 1.4%, while those of Dow Inc. have fallen $0.58, or 0.9%, combining for an approximately 19-point drag on the Dow. Honeywell International Inc. HON, -1.18%, Boeing BA, -1.06%, and Walt Disney DIS, -1.03% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
