The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Thursday afternoon with shares of Walgreens Boots and Chevron leading the way for the index. The Dow DJIA, +0.19% was most recently trading 48 points higher (0.1%), as shares of Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.40% and Chevron CVX, +2.19% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Walgreens Boots’s shares have risen $1.21 (2.4%) while those of Chevron have climbed $2.18, or 2.3%, combining for a roughly 22-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth UNH, +1.48%, Caterpillar CAT, +1.57%, and Home Depot HD, +1.11%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
