The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Friday morning with shares of Dow Inc. and Walgreens Boots leading the way for the index. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, +2.72% and Walgreens Boots WBA, +1.34% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.69% was most recently trading 98 points higher (0.3%). Dow Inc.’s shares are up $1.07, or 1.7%, while those of Walgreens Boots are up $0.80, or 1.7%, combining for a roughly 12-point bump for the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, +1.77%, Chevron CVX, +1.46%, and American Express AXP, +1.90% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
