Behind positive momentum for shares of Dow Inc. and Goldman Sachs, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +0.09% is trading 89 points higher (0.3%), as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, +1.93% and Goldman Sachs GS, +1.77% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Dow Inc.’s shares have climbed $1.37 (2.2%) while those of Goldman Sachs are up $6.82 (1.7%), combining for an approximately 54-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +1.65%, Boeing BA, +0.93%, and Chevron CVX, +1.15%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.58-point swing.
