The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Wednesday morning with shares of Home Depot and Apple Inc. delivering the strongest returns for the price-weighted average. Shares of Home Depot HD, +1.22% and Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.28% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.11% was most recently trading 89 points, or 0.3%, higher. Home Depot’s shares have risen $4.48 (1.4%) while those of Apple Inc. have climbed $1.95 (1.4%), combining for a roughly 42-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include 3M MMM, +0.94%, Honeywell International Inc. HON, +0.70%, and Procter & Gamble PG, +0.85%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
