AAPL, +0.90% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, -0.27% was most recently trading 88 points (0.3%) higher. American Express’s shares are up $2.91, or 1.7%, while those of Apple Inc. have climbed $1.60, or 1.1%, combining for an approximately 30-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are IBM IBM, +0.40%, Dow Inc. DOW, -0.87%, and Procter & Gamble PG, +1.10%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
