Behind losses for shares of Dow Inc. and Walt Disney, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down Tuesday afternoon. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -2.50% and Walt Disney DIS, -2.27% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.89% was most recently trading 296 points lower (-0.8%). Dow Inc.’s shares have declined $1.69 (2.7%) while those of Walt Disney have fallen $4.07 (2.3%), combining for an approximately 38-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Caterpillar CAT, -2.21%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, -2.00%, and Chevron CVX, -2.04%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
