The Dow DJIA, -0.94% was most recently trading 282 points (0.8%) lower, as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -2.60% and Caterpillar CAT, -2.31% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Dow Inc.’s shares have dropped $1.89 (3.0%) while those of Caterpillar have declined $5.28 (2.4%), combining for an approximately 47-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include 3M MMM, -1.93%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, -1.72%, and Honeywell International Inc. HON, -2.01%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
