Dragged down by negative returns for shares of Boeing and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Monday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.52% was most recently trading 240 points, or 0.7%, lower, as shares of Boeing BA, -3.72% and Chevron CVX, -2.95% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Boeing’s shares have fallen $8.98 (3.6%) while those of Chevron are down $3.31 (3.1%), combining for an approximately 81-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include American Express AXP, -2.79%, Visa V, -1.53%, and Travelers TRV, -1.62%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
