Shares of Boeing and Chevron are retreating Monday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Boeing BA, -3.39% and Chevron CVX, -3.08% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.44% was most recently trading 142 points, or 0.4%, lower. Boeing’s shares have fallen $8.25 (3.3%) while those of Chevron are off $3.38, or 3.2%, combining for a roughly 77-point drag on the Dow. American Express AXP, -2.76%, Visa V, -1.36%, and Nike NKE, -1.29% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
