Powered by positive gains for shares of Boeing and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Tuesday morning. Shares of Boeing BA, +2.50% and Chevron CVX, +2.68% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.42% was most recently trading 140 points higher (0.4%). Boeing’s shares have risen $6.78, or 2.7%, while those of Chevron have gained $2.66, or 2.6%, combining for a roughly 62-point bump for the Dow. American Express AXP, +1.67%, Goldman Sachs GS, +1.48%, and Dow Inc. DOW, +1.11% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
