Shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +4.05% and Caterpillar CAT, +1.56% are contributing about 25% of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.61% was most recently trading 109 points higher (0.3%). Goldman Sachs’s shares have climbed $8.27, or 2.5%, while those of Caterpillar have climbed $3.29 (1.4%), combining for a roughly 76-point boost for the Dow. Walt Disney DIS, +2.25%, Boeing BA, +1.41%, and American Express AXP, +1.55% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
