The Dow DJIA, -0.33% was most recently trading 94 points, or 0.3%, lower, as shares of Amgen Inc. AMGN, -1.53% and Merck MRK, -1.24% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Amgen Inc.’s shares are down $3.89, or 1.5%, while those of Merck have declined $1.05 (1.3%), combining for an approximately 32-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Microsoft MSFT, -1.36%, Procter & Gamble PG, -1.16%, and Coca-Cola KO, -1.28%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
