Goldman Sachs’s shares have climbed $13.16, or 4.8%, while those of Caterpillar are up $7.53 (4.1%), combining for an approximately 136-point boost for the Dow. Dow Inc. DOW, +3.53%, Walt Disney DIS, +3.50%, and American Express AXP, +3.14% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
