Microsoft’s shares have risen $8.08, or 3.5%, while those of Cisco are up $0.85 (1.9%), combining for an approximately 59-point bump for the Dow. Visa V, +2.09%, Intel INTC, +2.38%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.87% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
