The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Thursday morning with shares of Walgreens Boots and JPMorgan Chase seeing positive growth for the price-weighted average. Shares of Walgreens Boots WBA, +5.18% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +3.28% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.69% is trading 262 points, or 0.8%, higher. Walgreens Boots’s shares are up $2.96 (6.9%) while those of JPMorgan Chase have gained $4.58, or 3.5%, combining for a roughly 50-point bump for the Dow. Apple Inc. AAPL, +3.41%, Goldman Sachs GS, +2.14%, and Microsoft MSFT, +2.85% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
