Caterpillar’s shares have gained $11.64, or 6.3%, while those of Goldman Sachs have climbed $16.88, or 6.2%, combining for an approximately 188-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Dow Inc. DOW, +4.71%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, +4.70%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, +4.54%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
