The Dow DJIA, +0.47% was most recently trading 141 points higher (0.5%), as shares of Chevron CVX, +4.67% and Boeing BA, +4.38% are contributing about 25% of the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $3.74, or 4.4%, while those of Boeing are up $8.02, or 4.0%, combining for an approximately 77-point bump for the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, +2.58%, Dow Inc. DOW, +2.96%, and Caterpillar CAT, +1.41% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
