Shares of Chevron CVX, +4.03% and Boeing BA, +5.01% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.80% was most recently trading 228 points higher (0.8%). Chevron’s shares have risen $4.10, or 4.8%, while those of Boeing are up $9.68, or 4.8%, combining for an approximately 91-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Dow Inc. DOW, +3.15%, Goldman Sachs GS, +2.67%, and Intel INTC, +2.02%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
