A lot of conjecture and crystal-ball gazing has occupied the thoughts of business leaders since the devastating impact of Covid became apparent in March. It was going to change everything. It was going to change nothing.

Nine months on, the dust still hasn’t settled and opinions differ markedly. The latest blow-up in infection rates and the jolt of much tighter restrictions has darkened the mood once more.
